How the Pressure Iron and Steamer Works
By using a separate base and a 6 foot cord, pressurized steam is produced and sent to the iron. Steam is delivered as you need it, just pull the trigger. The forceful steam penetrates the fabric, to make the job easier. Save time and treat all your clothes and fabrics gently with the Rowenta DG5030 Iron. It is safe for delicates and helps you save money on dry cleaning. Using simple tap water, you can have instant steam.

Complaints about the Rowenta DG5030
The most common complaints were that the trigger would sometimes stick and not send the water. It is possible that the person with that complaint had a defective unit. We also read that the verticle steam was not strong enough in some cases. It would be very important to handle the unit correctly, as per the instructions, for it to work properly. Lastly, the unit for someone did not get hot enough. They wanted it to be hotter than a regular iron. The problem with this would be scorching of the clothing!
Here is a Review from Debbie Moloznik on the Rowenta DG5030 Iron
I bought this after using a friends Rowenta for quite a while. I really liked it, so I got my own. The thing is, I hate ironing! I love this iron, because it actually makes the job more fun.
I think the only drawback is no water level gauge. But, if you fill with water, you have 1 and a half hours of steam. So, if you fill up, you know how much time you have.
The more expensive newer model will give you this for an extra $100-you don’t need it! The DG5030 Iron works great.
